In 2016, there was a sensational discovery: found were the original piano manuscripts to the last 7 films by Yasujiro Ozu. These manuscripts include music to the classic films Tokyo Story (1953), An Autumn Afternoon (1962) among others. These once lost manuscripts written by Takanobu Saito were discovered by the Composer’s son. Ms. Aoki is the very first pianist torecord these fascinating pieces of Japanese film history in their original form.
